Oh, how we fell in love with every aspect of this gorgeous destination wedding! G + K’s bohemian chic wedding came together perfectly like a fairytale.
The bride got ready in her suite with the company of her best girlfriends and the help of a hair stylist and makeup artist. The bride looked angelic in a strapless white wedding gown, and her bridesmaids complemented her in pale mint and robin’s egg blue dresses. At the same time, the groom enjoyed a relaxed morning and shared a beer with the boys after everyone was dressed and ready to go.
One of our favorite moments was when the bride and groom both separately opened handwritten love letters to each other. There were tears and laughter as they read about favorite memories, inside jokes, and promises from their soon-to-be-spouse. When it comes to getting married, we always recommend opting for handwriting when possible: whether you handwrite your vows to each other, personalize thank-you notes to your guests, or write a pre-ceremony love letter to your fiancé, writing with a pen makes it even more special and personal.
Our hearts melted during the bride and groom’s First Look session – we will never forget the look that the bride and groom shared when they turned around and saw each other for the first time face-to-face that day. The bride and groom enjoyed some alone time (perfect for candid photos!) before the ceremony.
We loved the pink, white, and green details incorporated into the ceremony decor. With breathtaking ocean views, a grassy aisle, and plants in full bloom, this ceremony setup designed by Jessica Wolfe at Cabo Wedding Services reminded us of a true fairytale.
The bride walked down the aisle to meet the groom, arms linked with her father. One unique tradition we loved was when the bride and groom paused the ceremony to present their mothers with flowers. This sentimental touch was original and sweet! G + K exchanged their vows in front of their friends and family while the waves crashed in the distance. Does it get any more romantic?
One of the best things about this venue (besides the beautiful views, the desert-style gardens, and the bright pops of color) was the variety of photogenic spots on the property, perfect for portraits! We have so many favorites, we can’t even choose just one! We loved capturing the reflections of the bride and groom in the pool as the bride’s veil danced in the wind. Another one of our favorite shots is of the bride and groom holding hands as they stand under two arches.
After the newlyweds’ portrait photoshoot, they met their guests on the patio for the reception. With string lights, gorgeous floral centerpieces, and a cocktail bar (with specialty drinks named after their pet dog and cat!), the reception had everything for a celebration. When night fell, the bride and groom danced under the stars. After toasts, the bride and groom cut the wedding cake together while the guests held sparklers around them. All in all, this was a night to remember.
